Dr David Nugent

David Nugent founded Elucidare in 2003. Previously he was the Technology Analyst at Altium Capital, the London-based investment banking group. Formerly trading as part of Apax Partners through the 1980s and 1990s, Altium’s primary focus is on emerging growth companies.

Simultaneously rated in both the Telecommunications and IT Hardware sectors, David is one of the highest ranked investment analysts in London (source: Reuters).

Earlier in his career, David was a Senior Consultant at Arthur D. Little, the international management consulting group. Here he was involved in technical and financial due diligence projects for Private Equity transactions within the technology arena.

David holds a PhD in Engineering from Cambridge University. His work on semiconductor lasers earned him a BT Research Fellowship. He graduated with a double first class honours degree in Physics and Electronic Engineering from Glasgow University in 1992.
